Ian and Brenda would love to welcome you to ´Casa Ianda´, our home here in the beautiful Axarquía region of Andalucia.
We are in a magnificent country/mountail location yet just 20 minutes drive from the coast of the eastern Costa del Sol.
ROOM ACCESS - Both our Guest Rooms - situated next door to each other - are at Pool level with access down a flight of 19 outside steps. As each room has its own private entrance you do not have to pass through the main house and therefore have total freedom to come and go as you please.
DOUBLE ROOM (sleeps 2) - Our first Guest Room measures a compact, but comfortable, 9.5 square meters and has a Double Bed. Very well furnished and equipped, it has a full Bedroom Suite (Wardrobe, Dressing Table and 2 Bedside Cabinets), Coffee Table with kettle/hospitality tray and small Fridge/Mini Bar. A powerful Ceiling Fan provides Summer ventilation and an Oil Filled Radiator gives warm Winter heating. A Hairdryer is provided. The room has an En Suite Shower Room with all the usual facilities.
FAMILY ROOM (sleeps 2-4) - Our second Guest Room measures a very spacious 25 square meters. It has Twin Beds but these are generally pushed together to make a King-Sized Double. It has all the same facilities as the Double Room plus a Dining Table and 4 Chairs. 2 comfortable Single ´Z´Beds can be provided for a 3rd or 4th person; a small supplement applies when more than 2 people share. There are 4 steps up to the doorway of this room.
BOOK BOTH ROOMS TOGETHER (for up to 6 people) and you have sole use of the entire lower floor of Casa Ianda and sole use of the Swimming Pool and sunbathing terrace, giving you all the privacy of a Villa Holiday with the advantage of Breakfast and daily cleaning. Book both rooms for 7 nights or more and receive a complimentary 3 course + wine lunch or dinner per adult on the day of your choice.
CHILDREN - Well behaved children are welcome at ´Casa Ianda´. However, we ask that they only use the pool when under the constant supervision of an adult. Brenda is a highly qualified Nurse and Midwife and offers a well priced Baby Sitting service should you desire a night out for parents only. We offer an optional 2 Course + Drink Childrens Menu at Euro 5.95 for children up to age 11 years; menu emailed on request.
HOW TO BOOK - Bookings should be made by phone or email and will be confirmed on receipt of your home address details. For late availability enquiries it is safest to contact us by phone.
CANCELLATION There is no charge if you cancel before your stay is due to start, however we do request that you have the courtesy to let us know you are cancelling rather than just not turning up. Once you arrive you are expected to stay for the total number of nights booked; if you decide to leave early any unused nights will be charged at 50% of the normal rate.
MINIMUM STAY just one night.
ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE - Access to your room is available from 2 p.m. but if you arrive early you can drop off your luggage and sit on the terrace until the room is ready. Your room must be vacated by 11 a.m. on your day of departure - if you have a late flight luggage can be stored upstairs; should the room not be booked for that night you can keep it until 6 p.m. On arrival you will be greeted with a drink of your choice (Tea, Coffee, Beer, Wine or something stronger) and, if you have booked a stay of 3 nights or more, a complimentary bottle of chilled Cava (Spanish Champagne) will be in your room fridge. If you would like a snack on arrival a plate of sandwiches can await you in your room at Euro 7.50 per couple. For guests arriving after 11 p.m. keys will be left for you at the front door.
BREAKFAST - A substantial CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST is included in the room price. This consists of a choice of Cereals with a litre carton of Milk, your choice of Croissants and/or Toast with Preserves and Butter, selection of Fruit Juices, seasonal Fresh Fruit, Cheese and Ham (or a hot Bacon Muffin if you prefer), Tea (normal, de-caf or herbals) or Coffee (normal or de-caf) and 2 x 1.5 litre bottles of Mineral Water. In Winter all Breakfast items (except Toast!) are put in your room fridge each day for the following morning allowing you to eat as early or as late as you please - either in the comfort of your room or out on the Terrace immediately outside; in Summer Breakfast is generally served on the Terrace, but can still be put in your room the previous evening if you prefer to eat late. ENGLISH BREAKFAST A cooked full English Breakfast (meat or vegetarian) can be served if pre-booked or, for a bit of luxury, try our CHAMPAGNE, SCRAMBLED EGG + SMOKED SALMON Breakfast; a small supplement applies for English or Champagne Breakfasts.
HALF BOARD - Our Meals are made, wherever possible, with fresh, local produce purchased on the day required.
We offer a set priced 3 Course + Wine Lunch or Evening Meal (with choice of 4 menus) at Euro 15 per adult.

An A la Carte menu is also available (several Vegetarian options) and Snacks and Drinks are available throughout the day.

If you wish to eat here your first evening we need to know your choices at least 24 hours before you arrive.
A Childrens Menu (2 course + drink) is available for children up to 11 years of age at €5.95 per child.
FULL BOARD - Want to know that all your meals are included in your price? We offer an Full Board option (minimum 2 night stay) consisting of Lunch and Evening Meal. Lunch can either be a 3 course + wine meal here at Casa Ianda or, if you want to be out and about, a large Picnic Hamper with wine. Dinner is a 4 course meal with wine. Price and sample menus emailed on request.
HOUSEKEEPING - You will have daily Maid Service. Towels are changed daily in Summer (every other day in Winter) and bedding changed every 3-4 days. To save on luggage space Pool/Beach Towels can be provided but, if you use these, we do ask that you leave a couple of Euros for our charities.
INTERNET - Both our Guest Rooms have free WiFi access. If you do not have a Laptop with you there is a computer you can use in the main house; there is no charge for this but a small donation of loose change to our charities is always appreciated.
SMOKING - We request that our guest rooms are kept smoke free. However, you are welcome to smoke out on the terraces.
TERRACES - As well as the Poolside Terrace immediately outside our Guest Rooms, we have a spacious Roof Terrace that is a real Winter sun-trap and is the ideal place to relax with a book, Afternoon Tea or a pre-Dinner drink. We also have a Covered Terrace with a stunning view over the lake where we serve Dinner in the Summer months.
SPECIAL OCCASIONS - If you are celebrating a special occasion during your stay tell us when you book and we will arrange for Cava (Spanish Champagne) and Chocolates to be delivered to your room on the appropriate day. We also offer a special Candlelit Dinner for 2 - a lovely way to spend a special occasion.
PETS - We regret that we cannot accept any animals.
INSECTS - In Summer our guest rooms are sprayed daily with insect repellant. However, if you are prone to being bitten, we recommend that you bring an electric plug-in repellant for nighttime use. Lavender Oil makes a very good non-chemical skin repellant for daytime use.
AND FINALLY - Unlike many B+B establishments, you are welcome to spend all day at ´Casa Ianda´just relaxing by the pool. Our front door is always open until 8 p.m. for you to come and ask any questions you may have. Both our Guest Rooms have files containing information on this fascinating area, local restaurants etc. and maps of the area can be borrowed or bought here. Each room has a good library of books that you are welcome to borrow. Our aim is to make your stay special.
